Heroes Unsung
I just want our troops to know
that there are so
many more of us here in the USA
who proudly support you everyday
regardless of what others might loudly say
or even do
that could cause you
to wonder why
and even make your loved ones cry.
Each of you
have our prayers too
for a safe return to the USA
from your valiant duty in harm's way
once the mission is complete...
and hopefully never from defeat.
You are America's brave young,
our heroes unsung,
doing your very best
in this most difficult test
for each of us
no matter the domestic fuss.
