Free Will

Little ones are born into naked innocence,
each comforted by mother’s warm embrace,
soothed by her words that the tiny ears sense,
while still glowing under God’s loving grace.

Yet, just like Adam and Eve,
a point in young life is attained,
when one is no longer naive
and the pure soul begins to stain.

It is the time of making choices,
that lead to actions… both good and bad
for so many reasons like caring, being sad,
ignoring beliefs, or listening to false voices.

Free will is such a wondrous gift from HIS love
that when it bruises or breaks the bonds ABOVE,
requires true sorrow with amends
to bask in HIS eternal presence at our earthly end!
