Fleeting

Life is so very fleeting
with many coming to its end
foolishly having done nothing to prepare
for the most important meeting,
never reflecting or trying to mend,
eternally trapped in Satan’s evil snare.

Remorse comes too late for these
upon that brief and glorious greeting
when they beg on bended knees
to forgive all their earthly cheating
that offended and did not please,
hoping falsely to appease.

Before casting them down to Hell,
the Lord may simply tell…
that living their earthly life
was filled with choices and rife,
but He gave all ten basic laws
to guide each one to overcome their flaws
with many now receiving His holy treating,
as they obeyed and knew earthly life was fleeting.
